About Us
Tim Strong is currently certified as USAV Beach IMPACT coach and has competed in numerous 2v2 volleyball tournaments for over 17 years. Initially, he played through the Northern California Volleyball Association (NCVA) with events hosted at the University of California at Davis, and California State University, Chico. He also competed in the USA Volleyball Grass Nationals event at Lake Tahoe over several years and placed in the top two standings for these events. Later in his career, Tim moved to Southern Nevada where he won a number of two-man volleyball tournaments through the Nevada Outdoor Volleyball Association (NOVA) and the Utah Outdoor Volleyball Association (UOVA). Most recently, he has competed in tournaments with the California Beach Volleyball Association (CBVA) and placed in the top three for numerous tournaments, including events held at: Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, South Mission Beach and Ocean Beach, California.
Tim has served as head coach for both the men's and women's high school volleyball programs in the nation's fifth largest school district in the United States. For the men's program, the team was undefeated in its conference division. During his tenure as an indoor coach, Tim's overarching goals for the development of student athletes included: respect, personal responsibility and teamwork off the court. He is also certified through the National Federation of State High School Associations on the fundamentals of coaching. With over 17 years coaching experience, he has taught many people individually and in group settings on the fundamentals and advanced skills of volleyball. Tim provides a solid foundation on the essential skills of being an effective volleyball player. With immediate feedback, his instruction translates to increased improvement and performance on the court. Many people have voiced their own astonishment and disbelief even after one session. Tim is a result-driven person and shares information in such a way that dispels the mystery and frustration of beach volleyball that many people initially feel when trying to learn the sport. He loves playing beach volleyball, sharing his knowledge of the game and seeing people improve in their abilities.
